The 2nd Session at CoxScrew

Last night's rehearsal at CoxScrew was pretty alright, Syed Ahmad is slowly getting into the groove of things, It has been a fairly rough journey for us, having to rehearse with assorted drummers of different sizes and aptitudes. But hopefully, situation will get better soon, songs that were rehearsed last night:
- Mr Fantesticles
- Take Over The World
- Swinging Arms
- Alistik
- Song for a Retard
- Manic Jango
- Dewa
- Ready
We have less than a month to go, apart from our daily routine of dayjob as video editor, practicing artists, retail executive and bowling alley specialist, we are constantly fighting, negotiating and surrendering to time. So that we could make this possible. The next rehearsal session will be on Monday, 30th Jan. Will post some rehearsal photos, so that you will have the chance to see how hagard and scruffy we look, not so much of a Taufik Batisah material. Our eye bags are as puffy as a puffer fish, so watch out!

Tiramisu is now 'online'

Welcome all Jamborellas and Jamborellos,

just to tell you all the truth, we have this sudden urge to put something up on cyberspace, due to the fact that we have received complaints and undignified allegations that people don't know when are we playing and what have we been doing. So, I guess this blogger is more or less a temporary site (or could be permanent), for our regular updates of our illicit social and non-social activities.

As some of you might have known, we have been playing since 1998, and that's like 6 years? And we have not recorded any album, except for the 2 songs in the 'Show Must Go On' indie band compilation. Apart from that, we have released special bootleg cds (bootlegged by Joe Ng) of the infamous Indie-Nights at Bar None that we sold in Kuala Lumpur last year. There were about 30 copies in all, I think we gave away about 5 cds when we auditioned for new drummers.

Yes, Tiramisu is drummerless and we have constantly been using our fabulous friends from Wicked Aura, Ardy and Syed Ahmad as our sessionist, also Bach from Rushed. Our former drummer, Aaron Kao has been abducted by Aliens from Planet Shaka Zulu yahyah. So to all of you, don't play a fool because Big Brother is watching.

Now, we have being offered to perform at the ICA, London this coming February, a joint production with KYTV. It is part of the Singapore Season in London curated by Theatreworks' Ong Keng Sen. Well, its an opportunity not to be missed... we will update you with the process.

Do your little dance....

“ Tiramisu mocked their dignified surrounds with a drill of rock ‘n’ roll-meets-disordered disco, doused with a slash of punk ” – The Straits Times

Tiramisu was formed in 1998, the band started out as a mere project which eventually became a serious addiction and became a regular fixture in local independent gig listings around Singapore and Malaysia. Inspiration of forming the band came after Rizman Putra (vocalist), who was working as a waiter in an Italian restaurant, gave away a few slices of tiramisu discreetly to Jeremy Sharma (guitars) and Keith Su (guitars), who were at the same time looking for a band’s name, one of them eventually got choked on the cocoa powder and hence, Tiramisu was born.

Tiramisu line-up:
Vox: Rizman Putra aka Manic Jango
Guitars: Jeremy Sharma aka Mamak nut Crunch
Guitars: Keith SU aka Dr Soos
Bass: Lan aka LanCum
Samplers: Rudy aka Rocket
